Experiment 1
Methane and nitrous oxide emissions from continuous flooding, single drainage, and alternate wetting and drying rice production systems in Punjab, Pakistan
Objectives
The experiment, with a focus on measuring Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, and water productivity is being conducted at government research institutions in Punjab.
Sample Design
The field trials for the experiment two research farms has been selected in Punjab:
One at the Rice Research Institute (RRI) in Kala Shah Kaku, Sheikhupura, and the other at the On-Farm Water Management (OFWM) Research Farm in Renala Khurd, Okara.
The treatment is comprised of:
- Continuous Flooding (CF).
- Single Drainage (SD) .
- Alternate Wetting & Drying (AWD).
- The experimental design will follow a Randomized Complete Block Design with four replications and a plot size of 10m×10m.
